A rewarding opportunity is available for a skilled School Psychologist to provide essential support at a high school in Cottage Grove, OR. This contract position runs through the school year (NSY) and involves working closely with students, staff, and families to promote student success and well-being.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct psychological assessments to identify student needs and develop appropriate interventions
- Collaborate with educators, counselors, and parents to design individualized education programs (IEPs)
- Provide direct counseling and crisis intervention support to students
- Analyze data to monitor student progress and adjust strategies accordingly
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to ensure comprehensive student support
Desired Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid School Psychologist certification or licensure
- Experience working in high school educational settings preferred
- Strong assessment, counseling, and communication skills
- Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment
- Knowledge of relevant state and federal special education laws and procedures
