Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC) to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in mental health counseling and be skilled in various therapeutic modalities. This role involves providing high-quality psychotherapy services to individuals, families, and groups, with a focus on promoting mental wellness and supporting clients through their challenges. The LCPC will work collaboratively with other professionals to ensure comprehensive care for clients.
We are seeking a therapist to be fully remote as part of our counseling practice White Orchid Counseling and our sister company bloomingRX
Responsibilities
- Conduct intake assessments and develop individualized treatment plans based on client needs.
- Provide psychotherapy using techniques such as cognitive behavioral therapy, motivational interviewing, and crisis intervention.
- Offer counseling services for children, families, and individuals dealing with various issues including PTSD, addiction, grief, and behavioral challenges.
- Facilitate group therapy sessions and support clients in a therapeutic environment.
- Maintain accurate medical documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Perform diagnostic evaluations and utilize ICD-9 and ICD-10 coding for billing purposes.
- Engage in crisis management and behavior management strategies to ensure client safety.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to provide holistic care including case management and direct support services.
- Stay current with clinical research and best practices in the field of mental health.
Requirements
- Master’s degree in Counseling or related field with an active LCPC license.
- Experience in psychotherapy, particularly with children and families.
- Familiarity with telehealth practices and outpatient clinic experience is preferred.
- Knowledge of medical terminology, medical records management, and patient assessment techniques.
- Skills in various therapeutic approaches including psychodynamic therapy, art therapy, dance therapy, and applied behavior analysis are advantageous.
- Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or autism is a plus.
- Strong understanding of crisis intervention techniques and the ability to manage crises effectively.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, along with strong interpersonal skills to build rapport with clients.
