About Job
Seeking a college student passionate about psychology or psychiatry to work in our mental health office. We provide a hands on experience working with a variety of age ranges dealing with mental health or relational issues. Must have a strong personality and able to provide direction to adults/students/teens and staff.
Only apply if you are able to provide a minimum of 4 days per week / 32 hours total.
Minimum requirements:
- Currently enrolled in a college program emphasizing psychiatry or psychology
- Must have a good GPA
- Ability to work with a culturally diverse population.
- Ability to provide 20 hours of work per week.
- Be able to participate in required meetings.
- Passion working in a clinical setting or with those who have mental health disorder
- Experience or comfortability working in a crisis setting with children & adults
- Ability to provide emergency interventions or alert the correct party
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Proficiency in computer skills
Duties:
- Assist the attending psychologist or supervisor with patient care.
- Organizing group topics, researching new topics, coordinating with group providers.
- Coordinating schedules of clinicians and clients.
- Engage clients with mental health issues and establish proper therapeutic relationships.
- Apply the highest ethical standard for the delivery of general client/patient care.
- Audit group notes, audit time entries
- Assist with general administrative and office duties as assigned by the Director of Operations
- Assist with supervising office and maintaining a clean and organized environment
- Other tasks assigned by the executive team
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $20.00 per hour
