School Social Worker – Full Time

Travel Pay: $2,300 to $2,500 gross per week (Estimated take-home pay equivalent to $83–$90/hr in CT)
Local Pay: $55–$60 per hour for in-person opportunities
Location: New London, CT
Contract Duration: 9 months
Weekly Hours: up to 37.5 hrs

What You’ll Do:

• Provide social-emotional support and counseling to K-12 students.
• Conduct individual and group sessions to address student needs.
• Collaborate with teachers, parents, and school staff to develop intervention strategies.
• Assist in crisis intervention and conflict resolution as needed.
• Maintain accurate documentation and follow all compliance regulations.

Qualifications:

• Master’s Degree in Social Work (MSW) or related field.
• Active Connecticut Social Worker State License.
• Active Connecticut School Social Worker Certification (required).
• Experience in a school-based setting (required).
• Strong communication and collaboration skills in a school environment.
