OVERVIEW:


As an Adolescent Therapist, you will provide counseling and therapeutic support to individuals, families, and groups within our treatment programs. Your focus will be on helping clients improve their mental health and overall well-being through a variety of evidence-based techniques and interventions. In this role, you will assess client needs, develop and implement individualized treatment plans and goals, monitor progress, and maintain accurate documentation. You will also collaborate closely with the Clinical Director, Family Liaison, Executive Director, and the Clinical/Operations Team to ensure each client receives comprehensive, personalized care.


GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:


  • Facilitate individual, family, and group therapy for adolescents participating in PHP and IOP treatment.
  • Conduct initial assessments, ongoing progress evaluations, and discharge planning for each client.
  • Collaborate closely with family and guardians of the adolescent client while developing and implementing treatment plans and goals.
  • Collaborate with the Clinical Director and Executive Director frequently.
  • Use sound judgment to monitor client events and immediately escalate significant issues to the Executive and Clinical Directors
  • Maintain high standards of ethical and professional conduct and adhere strictly to confidentiality requirements.
  • Adhere to Horizon Recovery's policies and procedures.
  • Be available to help address unscheduled, urgent needs of clients that may develop.
  • Produce timely, complete, accurate and thorough medical records in the client’s EMR.
  • Provide documentation and reports to clinical and accounting staff as needed

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:


  • Master’s degree or higher in Counseling, Psychology, or a related field preferred.
  • Active Arizona Behavioral Health License with any of these: LAC, LPC, LMSW, LCSW, LMFT
  • Professional experience providing care, guidance, or therapeutic services to adolescent populations.
  • Strong command of therapeutic techniques and interventions, with proven ability to apply them effectively in both individual and group settings.
  • Demonstrated experience conducting therapy sessions with diverse populations addressing a wide range of mental health concerns.
  • Excellent communication and active listening skills, with the ability to empathize and establish rapport with clients.
  • Ability to maintain professional boundaries, confidentiality, and ethical standards.
  • Strong assessment and diagnostic skills to accurately identify client needs and formulate appropriate treatment plans.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team and effectively communicate with other healthcare professionals.
  • Proficient computer skills to maintain electronic records utilizing therapy-related software.
  • Valid Driver’s License.
  • Possess, or have the ability to obtain, a Level One Fingerprint Clearance Card.

SALARY; $72,000-$80,000
