Position Summary:
The Behavioral Technician is responsible for day-to-day execution of the behavioral health plan and will provide individual treatment for children with autism spectrum disorder using Applied Behavior Analysis under the direct supervision of a Board-Certified Behavior Analyst.

Hours: Currently hiring for Morning, Evening and School sessions

What you'll do:

  • Prepare various documentation as required
  • Understand and implement the Individualized Treatment Plan (ITP) as identified by the BCBA.
  • Observe, measure, and record behavior, identify progress and regression in a safe and supportive environment.
  • Prompt safe and socially acceptable replacement behaviors in order to build a repertoire of communication, social interaction, and problem-solving skills.
  • Fades prompts appropriately to promote both successful and independent responding.
  • Assures that behavior change is long lasting and demonstrates that the interventions being used are responsible for behavior changes.
  • Follows the treatment plan goals and interventions utilizing sound judgment and seeks out appropriate consultation.
  • Collaborates with family and treatment team members to provide treatment effectively and without disruption to the environment or other individuals in the environment.
  • Educate parents on reinforcement and early intervention information.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Who you are:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Must complete Behavior Technician credential requirements within time frame set forth by BACB
  • Ability to accurately collect behavioral data
  • Experience working with children with autism spectrum disorder preferred
  • Ability to specifically follow an Individualized Treatment Plan (ITP) and a Behavior Support Plan (BSP) utilizing sound judgment and seeking out appropriate consultation when required.
  • Multi-tasking skills
  • Effective oral, written, and reading communication skills
