Job Duties and Responsibilities: (Essential Functions)
● Uphold the Value System which includes: Respect, Innovation, Courage, Empathy, Support and Trust
● Follow the behavioral skill acquisition and behavior reduction protocols as outlined in the individual’s personalized treatment plan
● Focus on teaching and other antecedent strategies for reducing interfering behaviors
● Collect, record, and summarize data on observable client behavior
● Provide positive based input, suggestions, and feedback to Company team members regarding the individuals served and their written programs/protocols
● Advocate for each individual served in all areas of their lives
○ To include: medical professionals, intercompany teams, therapists, community members etc.
● To have full knowledge of Permitted, Restricted, and Prohibited procedures (EUMR)
● To utilize safe and appropriate procedures to ensure the safety of the individuals we serve
● A commitment and drive to provide an individual with an emotional and physical sense of safety
● To work well within a highly collaborative team
○ This includes a high level of communication, adaptability, and creativity
● You will be required to maintain the training and competency commensurate with the position and the people you work with as defined by employer
● May be required to work with various company programs as assigned by Human Resources
Required Skills and Experience (Minimum requirements in terms of educational background, work experience, licenses/certifications or other knowledge skills and abilities)
● Ability to pass background check clearance from MN Department of Human Services
● Valid Driver’s License and clean driving records
● Good attendance and willingness to be adaptable
● Excellent de-escalation experience
● Ability to perform physical interventions to ensure the safety of the individuals served
● Ability to meet the Behavioral Technician 3 competency requirements
● 1 of the 3 items listed below: (additional trainings, certifications, and leadership experience considered)
○ 4 year degree in a related field
○ 2 year degree in a related field/2 years of experience including working with residents with high behaviors, behavioral health or psychiatric setting
○ 4 years of experience including working with residents with high behaviors, behavioral health or psychiatric setting
Additional Skills and Experience (Preferred or helpful)
● Experience in 245D and MDH licensed homes
● Knowledge and experience with Positive Behavior Support
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $22.00 - $23.00 per hour
