Position Summary:
We are seeking Licensed Therapists with a passion for working with senior citizens. At Guiding Star Mental Health, you’ll play a crucial role in providing one-on-one therapy, developing personalized treatment plans, and collaborating with facility staff to support the mental health and well-being of our elderly population.

What You’ll Do:

• Lead individual therapy sessions for seniors, helping them navigate issues like grief, anxiety, depression, and life transitions.
• Create and implement personalized treatment plans that reflect the unique needs of each client.
• Collaborate with facility staff, family members, and other healthcare professionals to ensure your clients receive holistic, well-rounded care.
• Monitor client progress and adjust treatment plans as needed to meet changing needs.
• Be there for clients during crisis situations, providing timely intervention and support.
• Educate clients and families on mental health conditions, treatment options, and coping strategies.
• Be a leader in senior mental health, offering compassionate, empathetic care while maintaining confidentiality and ethical standards.

What We’re Looking For:

• Master’s or Doctoral degree in Psychology, Social Work, Counseling, or a related field.
• Licensed: Must be licensed as an LCSW, LPC-MHSP, LMFT, or equivalent in the state of Tennessee.
• A passion for working with senior citizens or a willingness to learn and be trained in the unique mental health needs of this population.
• Excellent communication skills and a knack for building trusting relationships.
• Ability to work independently while staying connected to a collaborative, multidisciplinary team.
• Compassionate, patient, and empathetic approach to care—because we believe our seniors deserve nothing less.
• Proficiency with electronic health records (EHR) systems and the ability to document client care accurately.
