Position Overview

The Clinical Coordinator at The Progress Place plays a pivotal role in supporting the delivery of exceptional client care. This position provides essential clinical services, including Verified Diagnosis (VD) assessments, Substance Abuse assessments, and other clinically indicated assessments as needed. The Clinical Coordinator serves as a vital liaison between the clinical team and organizational leadership, ensuring that assessments, documentation, and client care processes meet the highest standards of compliance, accuracy, and timeliness.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct Verified Diagnosis (VD) assessments in accordance with Medicaid and state regulatory requirements.
  • Perform Substance Abuse assessments and other specialized assessments as assigned. Ensure all clinical documentation is completed accurately, comprehensively, and within required timelines.
  • Maintain current knowledge of diagnostic criteria, assessment tools, and evidence based practices.
  • Collaborate with clinical leadership to ensure seamless coordination of care for all clients.
  • Provide ongoing clinical support to staff and ensure assessments are completed promptly.
  • Attend and actively participate in staff orientation and monthly staff meetings.
  • Present clinical updates, assessment protocols, and compliance reminders during assigned meetings.
  • Assist in developing training content to improve assessment accuracy and documentation quality.
  • Ensure all clinical work meets state licensing board standards, HIPAA regulations, Medicaid guidelines, and The Progress Place's internal policies.
  • Participate in audits and quality reviews to ensure ongoing compliance.
  • Maintain confidentiality and professional ethics in all client interactions and documentation.

Qualifications

  • Fully licensed in the State of Georgia as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT).
  • Minimum of three (3) years of post-licensure clinical experience.
  • Demonstrated expertise in diagnostic assessment, including Verified Diagnosis and Substance Abuse assessments.
  • Strong knowledge of DSM-5 criteria and assessment best practices. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • High level of organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Experience in community mental health or Medicaid-funded programs preferred.
  • Familiarity with EHR systems and compliance tracking preferred.
  • Previous experience providing training or facilitating meetings preferred

Work Schedule

  • Hours: Minimum of 25 hours per week, with flexibility to adjust based on client and program needs.
  • Work Environment: Hybrid model with both in-office and remote work as needed. (Required: Must Attend in-person Staff Meeting Once a Month)
  • Compensation: Commensurate with experience, licensure, and qualifications.
