Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Social Worker to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mental health counseling, crisis intervention, and case management, with a focus on providing support to individuals and families in need. This role requires a commitment to improving the well-being of clients through effective assessment, intervention, and advocacy.
Duties
Key Duties:
- Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate clients' needs and develop individualized treatment plans.
- Provide psychotherapy, individual and group counseling, and crisis intervention services.
- Utilize motivational interviewing techniques to empower clients in their recovery journey.
- Offer child and family safety plans, ensuring a supportive environment for children and caregivers.
- Maintain accurate medical documentation, including intake assessments and progress notes in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate care for clients with developmental disabilities or mental health challenges.
- Engage in clinical research and data collection to enhance service delivery and program effectiveness.
- Facilitate group therapy sessions focused on behavioral health issues such as PTSD, addiction, and trauma-informed care.
- Provide home and community care services as needed to support client independence.
- Stay informed about current best practices in social work, including cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) and psychodynamic therapy.
Requirements
- Master’s degree in Social Work (MSW) from an accredited institution.
- Valid state licensure as a social worker (LCSW or equivalent).
- 1+ year in maternal-child services preferred
- Experience working with children, families, or individuals with disabilities is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of diagnostic evaluation methods including ICD-9/ICD-10 coding.
- Strong skills in case management, patient assessment, and behavioral therapy techniques such as applied behavior analysis (ABA).
- Experience in crisis management
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to build rapport with diverse populations.
