Key Responsibilities:

• Provide individual and group counseling to meet students’ needs
• Help students set and work toward academic and career goals
• Collaborate with teachers, parents, and administrators to promote student success
• Address social, emotional, and behavioral challenges that may impact learning
• Promote mental health awareness and positive coping strategies
• Offer crisis intervention and emotional support when needed
• Connect students and families with community agencies and resources
• Advocate for student well-being, safety, and equitable access to services

What You’ll Need:

• Bachelor’s degree in counseling, social work, or related field (Master’s preferred)
• State certification or licensure as a school counselor (if applicable)
• Experience working with youth in educational or counseling settings
• Knowledge of child development, behavior management, and counseling techniques
• Familiarity with CPS protocols and mandated reporting requirements
• Culturally responsive approach to working with diverse populations
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• High ethical standards and ability to maintain confidentiality

Additional Information:
Some evening or weekend availability may be required for school events or meetings.

Job Type: Contract
