Details:

Position Type: Full-Time
Pay range: $49-$56+/hr; according to experience

Responsibilities:

Conduct comprehensive functional behavior assessments (FBA) to identify the underlying causes of challenging behaviors exhibited by students.
Develop individualized behavior intervention plans (BIP) based on the findings from the FBA, employing evidence-based strategies and techniques.
Provide training and support to staff members on the effective implementation of behavior intervention plans, ensuring consistent and appropriate interventions.
Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of behavior intervention plans by systematically collecting and analyzing data on student behavior.
Collaborate closely with school personnel, parents, and community agencies to ensure the student's unique needs are met and interventions are consistent across environments.
Participate actively in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings, offering valuable input on the development of goals and objectives related to behavior management.
Stay abreast of the latest research and best practices in behavior analysis, and share this knowledge with school staff members to foster continuous improvement.

Qualifications:

Hold a valid Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) certification from the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB).
Previous experience working with students with disabilities and challenging behaviors in a school setting preferred but not required.
Exhibit exceptional organizational and communication skills to effectively collaborate with school personnel, parents, and community agencies.
Display a strong knowledge of federal and state laws pertaining to special education and behavior management in schools.
