Job Details:

The Educational Care Coordinator (ECC), is a member of the trauma-informed, multidisciplinary day treatment team that facilitates successful continuation of school services and re-integration plans for each patient admitted. The ECC partners with the family, the patient, and local school district personnel to support families/caregivers in obtaining schoolwork necessary to provide an opportunity to minimize stressors related to being out of the school setting while in treatment. This position provides training for internal and external systems regarding social/emotional needs as related to learning and participating in the social context of a school setting. Provides advocacy and coordination to families for obtaining appropriate documentation to support recommended school settings, modifications, and accommodations. Demonstrates competence in providing age-appropriate education and care to patients from age 12-17 years. The ECC demonstrates and models Dayton Children’s values through effective interaction with patients, families, and treatment team members while providing excellent care.

Department Specific Job Details:

  • full time, 40 hours
  • day shift, 7:30 AM - 4:00 PM
  • 10 month program
  • prorated pay and PTO
  • off during the summer months
  • serving the Behavioral Health Center in Dayton, Ohio
