A K-12 educational institution in Prairieville, LA is seeking a qualified School Psychologist to join their team for the upcoming school year on a contract basis. This role is vital in supporting the academic, social, and emotional development of students and collaborating closely with educators, families, and administrators to create a positive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive psychological assessments and evaluations for students across K-12 grades.
  • Develop individualized education plans (IEPs) and provide recommendations based on assessment findings.
  • Consult with teachers and parents to address student behavioral, emotional, and academic challenges.
  • Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to design intervention strategies.
  • Implement and monitor intervention programs and support services.
  • Provide crisis intervention and counseling services as needed.
  • Maintain accurate records and comply with applicable laws and regulations regarding student confidentiality and special education.

Qualifications:

  • Masters or Doctoral degree in School Psychology.
  • Valid certification or licensure as a School Psychologist in Louisiana.
  • Experience conducting psychoeducational assessments and developing IEPs in K-12 settings.
  • Strong knowledge of IDEA, RTI, and other relevant educational laws and frameworks.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with students, families, school staff, and external agencies.

Location: Prairieville, LA
Duration: Contract position for the upcoming school year (NSY)
