Bachelor's or Master's degree in Social Work, active Social Worker license and minimum 1+ years School Social Work experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

A contract Social Worker position is available serving elementary school students in the Providence, RI area. This role focuses on providing specialized social work support within an educational setting throughout the school year.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct comprehensive psychosocial assessments to identify student needs and barriers to learning
• Develop and implement individualized support plans in collaboration with educators, families, and community resources
• Provide counseling and crisis intervention to students facing emotional, behavioral, or social challenges
• Monitor student progress and adjust interventions as needed to promote success and well-being
• Facilitate communication between school staff, families, and external agencies to coordinate services
• Maintain accurate documentation and comply with district policies and confidentiality standards

Qualifications and Experience:

• Licensed or certified Social Worker (preferred: licensed clinical social worker)
• Experience in school-based social work or related child welfare services
• Strong understanding of child development, mental health issues, and educational environments
• Ability to handle sensitive situations with professionalism and discretion
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with diverse stakeholders
• Commitment to supporting the academic and social-emotional growth of elementary-aged children

Location: Providence, RI serving elementary school students within the school year contract period.
