A unique opportunity is available for a dedicated and skilled school psychologist specializing in elementary education to support students in the Independence, MO area. This full-time contract position spans the academic school year, starting August 1st and concluding on the last day of school in May. The role involves working across three elementary school sites with a focus on kindergarten through fifth grade students.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct initial psychological evaluations for students within the K-5 age group
  • Assist in re-evaluations, collaborating closely with teachers who manage re-evaluation processes
  • Administer a variety of psychological assessments to inform student support plans
  • Manage a caseload ranging from 40 to 60 evaluation cases
  • Provide expert recommendations to support educational and behavioral adaptation

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Licensed or certified school psychologist
  • Experience with psychological testing and evaluation at the elementary level
  • Strong understanding of special education processes and intervention strategies
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with teachers, families, and educational staff
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and maintain detailed documentation

Location: Independence, Missouri

Work Schedule: Full-time, 5 days per week, 8 hours per day
