This role seeks a Substance Use Disorder Counselor (SUDC) to provide screening, brief interventions, individual and group therapy, and coordinate patient referrals.
- Must have Registered Intern status or certification from a California SUD Services agency.
- Responsibilities include accurate documentation, developing community resource contacts, and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to ensure seamless care.
- Provide direct counseling, crisis intervention, education, and referrals for patients with substance use issues, targeting diverse populations.
- Assess patients’ needs for treatment programs and develop individualized care plans.
- Requirements include a high school diploma or GED, CPR certification, at least 1 year of counseling experience, bilingual skills (English/Spanish) may be needed, and a valid California driver’s license.
