Part-time Social Worker Opportunity Elementary School Setting
Location: Near Geneva, IL
Contract Duration: School Year (NSY)
This role offers the chance to provide essential direct social work services to elementary students through individual, group, and classroom interventions. The position focuses on planning and delivering support services tailored to meet diverse student needs, with an emphasis on fostering positive social-emotional development and academic success.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct social work services to students individually, in groups, and within classroom settings
- Plan and implement supportive interventions aligned with student needs
- Develop, implement, and maintain IEP goals and service documentation ensuring accuracy and compliance
- Conduct and interpret social-emotional evaluations, social histories, and Functional Behavior Assessments (FBAs)
- Design and monitor behavioral support strategies, including Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs) and Problem Solving Plans
- Collaborate with IEP team members to address behavior management, concerns, and optimize program delivery
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working with students in elementary school settings
- Strong knowledge of social work principles, evaluations, and behavior management techniques
- Ability to develop, implement, and document IEP goals and services effectively
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills for working with multidisciplinary teams
