About Job
We are seeking an experienced, communicative, and compassionate psychiatrist to join our team and support the physical, emotional, and mental well-being of our clients. In this role, you will work directly with clients to actively listen to problems and concerns and recommend/prescribe medications accordingly. This role requires someone who enjoys working closely with children, teens, and families, in addition to other members of our team and occasionally outside providers.
This position is available as an employee or idependent contractor.
Duties:
Provide psychiatric assessment and ongoing medication support in an outpatient setting, either in person or virtually.
Maintain appropriate medical records; compose initial intake/assessment reports and record
progress notes in the electronic health record.
Conduct or order laboratory or diagnostic tests on patients as needed to provide information on general physical condition or mental health disorder.
Collaborate with therapists assigned to the case to ensure quality and consistency of care.
Participate in team meetings and group consultations as needed.
Experience:
An active California Medical License to practice Psychiatry is required
Training or experience working with youth or families required.
Proof of Malpractice/Professional Liability Insurance required (if independent contractor)
Experience with Simple Practice electronic health record preferred but not required.
