A respected nonprofit organization in New Jersey is seeking Mental Health Clinicians to join their Behavioral Health team. This role is ideal for professionals passionate about providing trauma-informed care and mental health support to diverse communities. Key Responsibilities
- Deliver individual and group counseling focused on mental health and substance use.
- Conduct comprehensive assessments including biopsychosocial evaluations and mental status exams.
- Develop and implement personalized treatment plans in collaboration with clients.
- Utilize DSM-5 TR for diagnostic purposes and provide appropriate therapeutic interventions.
- Facilitate psychoeducational workshops on topics such as anxiety, depression, and caregiver support.
- Maintain accurate and confidential client records using approved documentation systems.
- Ensure timely follow-up and referrals to community resources.
- Prepare monthly reports and maintain client data in electronic health record systems.
- Ensure compliance with confidentiality standards and agency protocols.
- Represent the organization at community events, meetings, and collaborative initiatives.
- Build and maintain relationships with local service providers and stakeholders.
- Participate in staff meetings and contribute to program development.
- Attend ongoing training sessions to enhance clinical skills and stay current with best practices.
- Uphold ethical standards and maintain professional boundaries in all interactions.
Requirements:
- Master’s degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, or related field.
- Licensure or eligibility for licensure in New Jersey (LCSW, LPC, LCADC, etc.).
- Experience in mental health and substance use counseling.
- Excellent communication, active listening, and organizational skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively with individuals from diverse backgrounds.
- Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish preferred.
- Demonstrated commitment to trauma-informed care and client-centered service.
