We are seeking a contracted Music Therapists to work with individuals with special needs in San Antonio, Texas. The successful candidate will have experience working with people with physical, cognitive, and/or developmental disabilities, and will be responsible for developing and implementing Music Therapy programs to promote physical, emotional, and mental well-being.

Responsibilities:
- Conduct therapy sessions with clients using various therapeutic techniques.
- Assess clients' needs and develop individualized treatment plans.
- Utilize music therapy as a therapeutic modality to address clients' emotional, cognitive, and physical needs.
- Provide mental health counseling to individuals, groups, and families.
- Implement interventions for clients with dementia and other cognitive impairments.
- Maintain client confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA regulations.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate care and ensure comprehensive treatment.
- Facilitate one-on-one music therapy sessions to promote social interaction and emotional support.
- Stay up-to-date on current research and best practices in the field of therapy.

Skills:
- Proficient in utilizing music therapy techniques in treatment.
- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and ability to maintain client confidentiality.
- Experience working with individuals with special needs or other cognitive or physical impairments.
- Ability to facilitate one-on-one therapy sessions and create a supportive environment for participants.
- Proficient in medical terminology for effective communication with any other home healthcare professionals.
