About Job

Maxxics Services is a locally owned company whose mission is to serve families across all age-ranges and disciplines. We strive to connect with families, create and implement plans to uplift and support as well as advocate for fun, quality ABA therapy. Maxxics Services focuses on the family as a whole to create long-lasting change and improve quality of life through ABA services. We love helping individuals reach their full potential by supporting not only the patient but also their family. We are currently in search of an experienced Registered Behavior Therapist (RBT) in the Aurora and surrounding Denver areas.

What makes us unique: We offer a cooperative working environment to collaborate and contribute with your supervising BCBA in order to have a voice in each case assigned. No more BCBA’s hiding behind computer screens or therapists feeling lost or abandoned regarding programming or overall goals. Feel confident in the skills you teach and integrity in the hard work you put in with a plan you help create and fulfill. We understand the challenges of the position and will work hard with you on any concerns you may face, including but not limited to scheduling, motivation and creativity with clients.

What we offer:

  • RBT’s: For Registered Behavior Therapists, we value the experience, time and efforts you have made and strive to ensure that your input is included in care plan management. We want to hear your voice and encourage your creativity and passion for teaching and applying the principles of ABA.
  • An hourly rate from $21-$25/hour depending on experience, with performance-based raises when RBT exam is passed as well as annually.
  • We are a smaller company with roots in the community – Leadership is here in town and familiar with field responsibilities and challenges – We’re here to work with you.
  • Paid training upon hire and continually throughout the year. You do not need to be certified to start this position!

Current position details:

We are currently hiring for a position requiring experience with special needs individuals and/or experience with non-verbal individuals using electronic communication devices. Most available hours around variable 1:00 – 8:00 PM weekday session time slots with weekend availability.

We are prepared to offer 15-30 hours per week to start, with more hours available if interested.

Services are in-home based, and as a result reliable transportation is a requirement.

Job Summary:

A Registered Behavior Technician, RBT, works 1:1 with children, adolescents and adults with developmental disabilities to support skill development, under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA).

Job Responsibilities:

  • Apply the principles of one-on-one ABA therapy to help individuals with special needs reach their full potential, graduating them to a more independent life in 18 months (on average).
  • Collect data and implement individualized treatment plans for each client
  • Build meaningful and professional relationships with families; communicate and share progress with team members on a regular basis
  • Receive ongoing feedback, coaching and professional development from your BCBA to improve and grow your practice and skills
  • Work variable hours per week
  • You’ll be trained and developed to provide in-home behavioral intervention to children affected by autism and other developmental disabilities
  • Follow a behavior intervention plan (BIP) for addressing behaviors aimed to decrease and replace with more functional behavior.

Job Qualifications:

  • Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) - Current or previous is required for this position
  • All Applicants welcome – A college degree in any field is nice, but a high school diploma will suffice.
  • Creativity and passion for working with children with Autism Spectrum Disorder and other special needs diagnoses and their caregivers.
