The Social Worker Student Coordinator will:
- Ensure the internship program provides MSW Interns with an experience that will prepare them to be competent, well-rounded, entry-level mental health professionals with competencies enabling them to work in a community-based setting providing evidence-based practices and services serving with low-income children youth and their families.
- Internship Coordinator serves as liaison between Universities (Rutgers University and Monmouth University) and Dorothy B Hersh.
- Provide individual and group supervision.
Assess the needs of patients referred/identified as appropriate to the ages of the patients and to the developmental life cycle stage (Neonates, Pediatrics, Adolescents, Adults, Geriatrics). - Formulate treatment goal(s) and discharge plan for each assigned patient as appropriate to the ages of the patients and to the developmental life cycle stage.
Requirements:
- MSW from accredited Graduate School of Social Work.
- NJ Social Work license: LCSW or LSW. NPI and Medical Non Billing Provider Number are required
- The application should be submitted to the State within the first 30 days of employment.
- At least two (2) years prior family counseling experience in hospital, clinic or private practice.
