Social Worker Student Coordinator

The Social Worker Student Coordinator will:
  • Ensure the internship program provides MSW Interns with an experience that will prepare them to be competent, well-rounded, entry-level mental health professionals with competencies enabling them to work in a community-based setting providing evidence-based practices and services serving with low-income children youth and their families.
  • Internship Coordinator serves as liaison between Universities (Rutgers University and Monmouth University) and Dorothy B Hersh.
  • Provide individual and group supervision.
    Assess the needs of patients referred/identified as appropriate to the ages of the patients and to the developmental life cycle stage (Neonates, Pediatrics, Adolescents, Adults, Geriatrics).
  • Formulate treatment goal(s) and discharge plan for each assigned patient as appropriate to the ages of the patients and to the developmental life cycle stage.


Requirements:
  • MSW from accredited Graduate School of Social Work.
  • NJ Social Work license: LCSW or LSW. NPI and Medical Non Billing Provider Number are required
  • The application should be submitted to the State within the first 30 days of employment.
  • At least two (2) years prior family counseling experience in hospital, clinic or private practice.

We offer competitive base rates that are determined by many factors, including job-related work experience, internal equity, and industry-specific market data. In addition to base salary, some positions may be eligible for clinical certification pay and shift differentials.

The salary range listed for exempt positions reflects full-time compensation and will be prorated based on employment status.
