About Job

A Guiding Light Services is seeking a compassionate and credentialed Board-Certified Music Therapist (MT-BC) to provide Habilitation – Music Therapy services to individuals with developmental disabilities through the Arizona Division of Developmental Disabilities (DDD).

This is a therapeutic, outcome-based service that uses music to promote emotional expression, improve communication and sensorimotor skills, and support functional life skills. The therapist will provide services in members' homes and communities, tailoring interventions to their Person-Centered Service Plan (PCSP). Flexible scheduling and full administrative support are provided.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct assessments and collaborate with the Planning Team to establish appropriate goals.
  • Design and deliver individualized music-based interventions aligned with the member’s PCSP.
  • Provide therapy in the member’s home or community using evidence-based practices.
  • Train family members and caregivers to integrate music strategies into daily routines.
  • Document session progress in accordance with DDD standards and timelines.

Required Qualifications:

  • Active MT-BC certification issued by the Certification Board for Music Therapists.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Music Therapy (BA, BM, or BS).
  • Completion of internship and clinical training as defined by the American Music Therapy Association (AMTA).
  • Valid Level 1 Fingerprint Clearance Card (or willingness to obtain).
  • Current CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
  • Article 9 certification (or willingness to obtain).
  • Reliable transportation for in-home visits.
  • Strong documentation, time management, and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working with individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
  • Familiarity with DDD requirements and PCSP-based documentation.
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $25.00 - $32.00 per hour
