Healing Haven is looking for an experienced LMSW or LPC to provide counseling and therapy services to children with special needs and their families.
We are a state-of-the-art behavioral clinic for children with autism and their families. Our one-of-a-kind campus in Madison Heights includes four different clinics each designed to serve the specific needs of children and young adults through every stage of life. We believe in treating the family as a whole, and as such siblings and parents are often incorporated into our therapy. Our unique services include a 3-month parent training clinic, speech therapy, occupational therapy, autism diagnostic testing and assessment, after school center-based services and day-time center-based services. Summary of Essential Job Functions of the LPC/LMSW:
- Conducting assessment activities related to the need for behavioral interventions and therapy services;
- Designing, executing and monitoring therapy treatment programs;
- Completing comprehensive goals for Clients and completing all necessary documentation requirements related to reimbursement from insurance companies and for review by Clients;
- Completing an accurate weekly log of all billable interactions and billable service hours for the Client chart and reporting all information to Company;
- Providing staff training and counseling
- Working collaboratively with other professionals/behavior specialists involved in Client’s case to provide mental health services;
- Counseling services to families and children
- Psychoeducational workshops for staff and families
- Oversight of practicum students/interns when appropriate
- Other activities generally performed by a LMSW/LPC that are directly related to behavioral analysis/mental health therapy services such as activities related to oversight of Company programs and employees.
Minimum Requirements needed to apply for the LMSW/LPC opening:
- A master’s or doctoral degree in counseling or social work from an accredited institution
- Active licensure and certification as required by the state of Michigan
- Experience with pediatric population
- Knowledge of deficits associated with autism spectrum disorder
- Evening and weekend availability
- Proficiency with EMR system
- Knowledge of insurance requirements for therapy services
- Professional references
- Maintaining respect and confidentiality for all clients
- Ability to work with other professionals and staff
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: From $55,000.00 per year
