About Job

A school-based social worker position is available on a contract basis for the full school year in Trenton, MI. This onsite role requires providing support to students, families, and educators to enhance the educational experience and address social, emotional, and behavioral challenges in the school setting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct assessments and develop individualized intervention plans for students facing social and emotional difficulties
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and administration to support student success and well-being
  • Provide counseling and crisis intervention as needed
  • Advocate for students access to resources and services within and outside the school
  • Maintain accurate documentation and comply with all applicable laws and school policies

Qualifications:

  • Must hold certification as a Social Service Worker (SSW) by the Michigan Department of Education (MDE)
