A K-12 school in Allentown, PA is seeking a qualified School Psychologist for a contract position covering the upcoming school year (NSY). This opportunity involves working directly with students, staff, and families within a dynamic educational environment to support student success and well-being.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct psychological evaluations and assessments for students K-12 to identify learning needs and challenges.
- Collaborate with educators, parents, and administrators to develop appropriate intervention plans.
- Provide counseling and crisis intervention when necessary.
- Participate in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings and contribute to educational planning.
- Maintain thorough and accurate documentation in compliance with district and state guidelines.
- Monitor and report on student progress and effectiveness of interventions.
Qualifications:
- Valid certification or licensure as a School Psychologist.
- Experience working in K-12 educational settings preferred.
- Strong assessment, diagnostic, and counseling skills.
- Excellent communication and collaboration ability with students, families, and school staff.
- Knowledge of state regulations and special education law.
