A full-time Licensed Social Worker is needed to serve students from Pre-K through 8th grade at a middle school in Sterling Heights, MI for the 2025-2026 school year. This contract position supports social-emotional development and overall well-being throughout the school community.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct social work services addressing students social, emotional, and behavioral needs
  • Collaborate with educators, families, and community resources to create supportive interventions
  • Maintain documentation and case notes in compliance with school policies and regulatory standards
  • Participate in team meetings to advocate for students welfare and promote positive school climate

Qualifications:

  • Licensed Social Worker credential required (LLMSW with 310 certification or LCSW)
  • Experience working with Pre-K through 8th grade students preferred
  • Strong understanding of school social work practices and child development
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
