Summary

We are seeking a Certified Peer Support Specialist (PRS) to provide peer services at the Warren Family Mission to the male residents. This position will assist the Warren Family Mission in meeting the needs of their residents while fostering a program of recovery for individuals at this location.

Responsibilities

• Provide peer support services at the Warren Family Mission.
• Assist in crisis management and intervention strategies to ensure client/resident safety.
• Collaborate with clinical, peer support, and administrative staff to develop individualized treatment plans for clients.
• Collaborate with the Warren Family Mission's Men's Director regarding peer/resident needs, concerns, progress, etc.
• Maintain accurate documentation of peer progress and interventions.
• Support clients in accessing community resources as needed.

Requirements

• High school diploma/G.E.D.
• Valid Driver License
• Active Certified Peer Recovery Supporter Credentials issued by the Ohio Department of Mental Health and Addiction Services (OhioMHAS)
• Basic Life Support/ First Aid/CPR (Training Provided)
• NARCAN Administration Training (Training Provided)
• PRS must have an understanding of and respect for each clients’ unique path to recovery
• PRS must have a working knowledge of the drug and alcohol treatment system and a demonstrated commitment to the recovery community
• PRS must have reliable transportation
• Must have competent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills
• Good working knowledge of computers with familiarity of Microsoft Office
• Final applicant must be willing to undergo an MVR check
• Final applicant is required to complete FBI/BCI background check
• Final applicant is required to submit a new hire pre-employment drug screen
