Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate School Psychologist to join our educational team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting the mental health and educational success of students. This position involves collaborating with educators, parents, and other professionals to create a safe and supportive learning environment. The School Psychologist will be responsible for assessing students' needs, developing intervention strategies, and providing counseling services.
Responsibilities
- Conduct psychological assessments and evaluations to identify students' needs.
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) in collaboration with teachers and parents.
- Provide early intervention strategies for students exhibiting behavioral or emotional challenges.
- Work with students on the autism spectrum to enhance their social skills and academic performance.
- Create safety plans for at-risk students to ensure their well-being within the school environment.
- Collaborate with social workers and other professionals to provide comprehensive case management.
- Offer crisis management support during emergencies or critical incidents affecting students.
- Maintain accurate records of assessments, interventions, and progress reports in accordance with school policies.
- Provide training and support to staff on psychological principles related to special education.
Skills
- Proficiency in psychological testing and assessment techniques.
- Strong understanding of medical terminology relevant to psychological health.
- Experience in patient care within an educational or clinical setting.
- Knowledge of special education laws and practices.
- Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with students, parents, and staff.
- Ability to develop safety plans tailored to individual student needs.
- Familiarity with early intervention strategies for diverse learners.
- Competence in crisis management techniques to address urgent student needs.
- Experience working with individuals on the autism spectrum is highly valued.

Pay: $55.00 - $60.00 per hour
