Parchment High School is a dynamic and diverse educational community committed to academic excellence, equity, and student growth. We are seeking a compassionate and skilled High School Counselor to join our student support team. The ideal candidate will support students’ academic achievement, personal development, and post-secondary success through a comprehensive, student-centered counseling program.

Required Qualifications

• Master’s degree in School Counseling or related field
• Valid Michigan NT endorsement or School Counselor License
• At least 3–5 years of successful teaching experience preferred
• Completion of state-mandated criminal background check

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working in a high school setting
• Working knowledge of the Michigan Career Development Model
• Familiarity with CollegeBoard, XELLO and other student data and planning platforms
• Strong understanding of testing coordination (M-STEP, PSAT, SAT)

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to walk; stand; sit; use hands for fine manipulation, handle or feel and reach with hands and arms using a keyboard and video display terminal. The employee is frequently required to stoop, kneel, or crouch. The employee may occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, ability to adjust focus, depth perception and peripheral vision.

Pay: $44,554.00 - $70,013.00 per year
