GENERAL STATEMENT OF RESPONSIBILITIES:
Provide instruction to students in one or more of the following courses offered in person on the West Barnstable Campus during the Fall 2025 Semester:
- Introduction to Psychology Monday/Wednesday 9:30 - 10:45am
- Introduction to Psychology Tuesday/Thursday 9:30 - 10:45am
- Introduction to Psychology Wednesday 3:30 - 6:30 pm
- Child Psychology Tuesday/Thursday 9:30 - 10:45am
- Introduction to Human Services Tuesday/Thursday 9:30 - 10:45am
- Social Work Case Management Tuesday/Thursday 12:30 - 1:45pm
- Additional sections in the evening and on Saturday.
EXAMPLES OF DUTIES:
- Teach class(es) of up to 32 students with diverse backgrounds and learning styles.
- Select and develop appropriate course materials to meet course student learning outcomes.
- Track and assess student progress.
- Maintain appropriate attendance and learner records.
- Participate in ongoing professional development.
Job Requirements:
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Master's degree in Psychology or Social Work or closely related field with appropriate areas of concentration.
- College level teaching experience in Psychology and/or Human Services.
- Effective pedagogical, teaching, and presentation skills.
- Experience using evidence-based strategies to support student success including frequent communication and active learning.
- Ability to create classroom environment that engages students and supports learning.
- Skill in using technology to support the teaching and learning process.
ADDITIONAL PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Community college level teaching experience in Psychology and/or Human Services.
- Experience teaching a highly diverse student population.
- Experience using Moodle or other Learning Management System(s).

Additional Information:
COMPENSATION: Anticipated starting salary - Step I DCE pay scale (for new instructors). Part-time, non-benefited, MCCC Unit Position.
