Behavior Technician Job Description:
We are seeking a dedicated, compassionate, and hardworking Behavioral Technician to join our team in the highly rewarding field of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA). As a Behavioral Technician, you will provide one-on-one support to children with autism, helping them build essential life skills while reducing challenging behaviors using evidence-based behavioral techniques.

In this role, you’ll be on the front lines of making a meaningful impact in a child’s life, fostering growth and independence in a supportive and collaborative environment.

Behavior Technician Responsibilities:

  • Work directly with children with autism in a one-on-one setting.
  • Implement individualized skill-building and behavior-reduction plans under the guidance of a supervisor.
  • Accurately collect and record behavioral data to track progress.
  • Provide de-escalation support and crisis intervention when needed.
  • Create a safe, engaging, and supportive environment for children and their families.

Behavior Technician Requirements & Skills:

  • Experience with autism or Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) is preferred but not required.
  • Must be physically capable of engaging in active play and providing physical support during crisis situations.
  • Patience, empathy, and strong problem-solving skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to accept and apply feedback effectively.
  • Dependable, punctual, and able to work well both independently and as part of a team.
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Willingness to become a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT).
