Position: Senior Clinical Outreach Manager Job Type: Full Time  Location: Remote - Some Travel Required across the Maryland and Virginia Markets Compensation: $110,000-125,000 Annual Salary + Incentives    About The Role  As a Senior Clinical Outreach Manager, you will manage key referral partnerships, serve as a subject matter expert in behavioral health services, and take on special initiatives to support team development, regional strategy, and market growth. This role does not include formal people management but plays an essential leadership role in shaping the outreach culture and advancing team success. Senior Clinical Outreach Manager is a high-performing individual contributor who plays a critical dual role driving referrals in their assigned market and serving as a peer leader within the outreach team  This role requires frequent local travel to engage with partners and attend pivotal meetings, enabling you to maintain and build essential contacts within the community. You will also manage precise documentation of referral source activity and assist in discharge planning to ensure continuum of care, adhering to set expense guidelines and reporting protocols.   Key Responsibilities: Drive Market Growth: Maintain and grow a portfolio of high-value referral partners—including hospitals, school systems, and clinical groups—by achieving quarterly referral volume and admissions goals. Demonstrate sustained production with minimal low-volume months.  Strategic Account Management: Serve as the lead liaison for the region’s most strategic or complex accounts. Deepen engagement by increasing year-over-year referral volume or expanding into new service lines.  High-Impact Presentations: Deliver compelling, clinically-informed presentations and CEUs to stakeholder groups, contributing to brand trust and measurable increases in inbound inquiries.  Market Intelligence: Conduct quarterly competitive analyses and share actionable insights with management to influence program offerings, referral partner engagement strategy, and marketing focus.  Mentorship & Peer Leadership: Mentor 1–2 new or developing outreach staff each quarter. Track mentee progress and contribute to onboarding success by sharing best practices and troubleshooting account challenges.  Team Development: Facilitate one team meeting per quarter focused on practical skill-building, case studies, or performance coaching. Serve as a peer resource in monthly regional strategy calls.  Training Delivery: Create and deliver at least two training sessions per year for the outreach team on topics such as objection handling, account recovery, or territory planning. Solicit feedback and refine content for future use.  Territory Strategy Collaboration: Co-create annual territory development plans with your manager. Use referral data and market trends to prioritize high-opportunity zip codes, facilities, and stakeholder types.  Lead Strategic Initiatives: Spearhead at least one high-impact outreach initiative per year (e.g., host a professional networking event, launch a service-line campaign, or coordinate with university systems).  CRM & Reporting Integrity: Ensure Salesforce data accuracy for assigned accounts. Contribute to monthly pipeline reviews and identify account recovery opportunities.    Education Requirements: A bachelor's degree in marketing and/or behavioral health science is preferred.   Experience Requirements: 2+ years of experience in behavioral health business development, clinical outreach, or related healthcare field.  Proven track record of exceeding outreach/admissions goals.  Strong understanding of substance use and co-occurring disorder treatment, including levels of care and industry best practices.  Excellent presentation, communication, and relationship management skills.  Ability to lead without authority, mentor peers, and contribute to team culture.  Skilled in CRM platforms (e.g., Salesforce), referral data analysis, and reporting.    Other Requirements: Candidates applying for this position should be aware that an offer for employment in this position is contingent upon passing a comprehensive background check, encompassing criminal records and motor vehicle reports.   The Perks At Sandstone Care, we believe that great care starts with our employees.
