Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Counselor to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in mental health and behavioral therapy, with experience in various counseling methodologies. This role involves providing support to individuals and families facing challenges related to mental health, addiction, and crisis situations. The Counselor will work collaboratively with clients to develop effective treatment plans and facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions.

Duties

  • Conduct comprehensive patient assessments to identify mental health needs and develop tailored treatment plans.
  • Provide psychotherapy and counseling services utilizing techniques such as cognitive behavioral therapy, motivational interviewing, and crisis intervention.
  • Facilitate group therapy sessions, fostering a supportive environment for participants to share their experiences.
  • Offer child and family counseling services, addressing the unique needs of each family member.
  • Maintain accurate medical documentation and records in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
  • Engage in case management activities, coordinating care with other healthcare providers as necessary.
  • Conduct diagnostic evaluations to determine appropriate interventions for patients with PTSD, addiction, or other behavioral health issues.
  • Utilize applied behavior analysis techniques for effective behavior management in clients.
  • Participate in research initiatives aimed at improving counseling practices and patient outcomes.

Requirements

  • Associate, Bachelor
  • Valid licensure as a Counselor or equivalent certification is preferred.
  • Experience in crisis management and intervention strategies.
  • Strong skills in individual and group counseling techniques.
  • Knowledge of addiction medicine and behavioral health principles.
  • Proven ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team environment.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
