Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate School Psychologist to join our educational team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in promoting the mental health and well-being of students, providing support to both individuals and families. This position involves working collaboratively with educators, parents, and other professionals to create a positive learning environment that accommodates the diverse needs of students.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct psychological assessments to evaluate students' cognitive, emotional, and social development.
  • Provide crisis intervention services to students experiencing emotional or behavioral challenges.
  • Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) in collaboration with teachers and parents.
  • Offer individual and group counseling sessions focused on behavior management and coping strategies.
  • Maintain accurate medical records and documentation related to student assessments and interventions.
  • Collaborate with teachers and staff to create strategies that support students with disabilities.
  • Provide training and resources for educators on effective behavior management techniques.
  • Engage in child family counseling to address family dynamics affecting student performance.
  • Utilize Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) techniques when appropriate to support student learning.

Requirements

  • Master’s or Doctoral degree in School Psychology or a related field.
  • Valid state licensure or certification as a School Psychologist.
  • Strong knowledge of crisis intervention strategies and child development principles.
  • Experience in behavior management techniques and IEP development is preferred.
  • Familiarity with medical documentation practices related to psychological services.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Experience working with individuals with disabilities is highly desirable.
  • Background in social work is a plus but not mandatory.
