Afterschool Counselor

Volusia Flagler Family YMCA

The Deland Family YMCA location is looking for experienced child care counselors for our afterschool program. Our Afterschool Enrichment Program is part of the YMCA’s history of dedication to youth and children’s services. Established to meet the needs of working parents in the community while providing their children a fun, safe, enriching environment that would promote the YMCA’s four core values of caring, honesty, respect and responsibility.

We offer a variety of daily activities focusing on academic support, character development, physical fitness and proper nutrition, under the leadership of qualified, professional staff.

Job specific functions:

The applicant must be extremely reliable, outgoing, friendly and love children.

Preferably with DCF 40 hours completed but not a requirement.

20-25 hours per week, M-F. Rate of pay is $13.00 per hour.

Must pass applicable background and drug screenings.
