Job Title: Resiliency Coordinator (Mental Health Professional) Company: Boys & Girls Clubs of Transylvania County Location: Brevard, NC Job Type: Full-Time | Non-Exempt | Benefits Eligible after 60 days Pay: $52,000-$57,000; commensurate with experience Schedule:

  • School Year: M-F, 8-hour shift between 10:30 AM – 7:00 PM w/ 30 minute lunch
  • Summer: M-F, 8 hour shift between 7:30 AM – 5:30 PM w/ 30 minute lunch
  • Occasional evening or weekend hours for special programs or events

About the Role

The Resiliency Coordinator is a key player on our youth-serving team—providing therapy, case management, and emotional support while also training and guiding our staff to build a trauma-informed, inclusive Club environment.

You’ll lead social-emotional learning programs, work directly with youth and families, and be a visible, daily presence in our afterschool and summer programming.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide group and individual therapy to youth using evidence-based practice
  • Offer case management, referrals, and safety planning for youth in need
  • Create and lead social-emotional learning (SEL) activities and behavioral support
  • Conduct risk and behavior assessments; develop behavior plans
  • Train staff in trauma-informed practices and mental health awareness
  • Build partnerships with families and community mental health providers
  • Lead youth mentoring initiatives and coordinate family wellness events
  • Track outcomes and maintain required documentation and records

Qualifications

  • Must be a Qualified Mental Health Professional (QMHP), preferred Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) or ability to earn license
  • Experience with youth mental health services, especially in group settings
  • Strong communication, leadership, and relationship-building skills
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, energetic environment with children
  • CPR/First Aid certification and valid driver’s license preferred
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and clinical documentation
