We are currently seeking an organized, professional, and compassionate Intake Coordinator to join our administrative team. This role is essential in welcoming new clients, ensuring accurate intake procedures, and supporting smooth operations at our office.

Job Summary
The Intake Coordinator plays a crucial role in ensuring that patients receive timely and efficient care by managing the intake process within out mental health setting. This position involves coordinating patient information, verifying insurance details, and ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and a comprehensive understanding of medical terminology and coding systems.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the intake process for new patients, including collecting necessary documentation and medical history.
  • Verify insurance information and eligibility for services.
  • Review documentation for accuracy and completeness in compliance with HIPAA standards.
  • Schedule patient appointments and coordinate care plans with healthcare providers.
  • Maintain accurate medical records and ensure proper filing of documents.
  • Utilize electronic health record (EHR) systems .
  • Provide exceptional patient service through effective communication and phone etiquette.
  • Support front desk operations including clerical tasks, multi-line phone management, and patient inquiries.

Skills

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate’s degree preferred
  • Prior experience in a healthcare, mental health, or front desk setting strongly preferred
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent computer skills including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail for documentation review.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks effectively while providing outstanding customer service.
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus but not necessary.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $15.00 - $17.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20 – 32 per week
