Our Anchorage clinic is seeking a detail-oriented and personable Patient Care Coordinator who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is committed to providing outstanding support to patients and care teams. This position plays a vital role in ensuring a smooth, welcoming experience for every patient who walks through our doors.
What You’ll Do
- Greet and check in patients with warmth and professionalism.
- Answer and direct incoming calls promptly and courteously.
- Schedule, reschedule, and coordinate patient appointments, labs, and imaging studies.
- Ensure accurate and timely documentation in the electronic medical record system.
- Process patient requests and provider orders efficiently and thoroughly.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming front office, lobby, and shared areas.
- Assist patients and families by connecting them with internal and community support resources.
What You Bring
- Education: High School Diploma or equivalent required. Coursework in business, medical terminology, or a related field is a plus.
- Experience: Minimum 1 year of customer service experience; previous medical office experience is preferred.
- Technical Skills:
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel).
- Quick to learn and navigate electronic medical records and scheduling systems.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Personal Traits:
- Friendly, empathetic, and respectful.
- Able to stay organized and focused while managing multiple priorities.
- Dependable, punctual, and eager to support team goals.
Work Environment & Physical Requirements
- Fast-paced clinic setting with frequent interaction with patients and clinical staff.
- Occasional travel between clinic locations may be required.
- Exposure to cleaning agents and possible contact with blood/body fluids.
- Must be able to lift or push up to 50 lbs and remain seated or standing for extended periods.
