Licensed Mental Health Counselor (Pediatrics) – Join a Collaborative & Supportive Clinic Team

We’re expanding our services and are looking for a Licensed Mental Health Professional (LCSW, LMHC, LCPC, or equivalent) to join our pioneering mental health program within our established multidisciplinary pediatric clinic.
Who We Are
Therapy Smarts, Inc. is a therapist-founded outpatient pediatric clinic located in the Raleigh-Durham area. We’ve built a strong reputation for providing top-tier Speech, Occupational, and Physical Therapy to children of all ages and backgrounds. We are now launching a dedicated Mental Health Counseling program to further support the families we serve.

Why This Role Is Unique
This is a ground-floor opportunity to help build and shape our in-house mental health program. You’ll have the rare chance to collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of professionals while making a significant impact on both children and their caregivers.
We take care of the administrative load—including billing, scheduling, and referrals—so you can focus solely on what matters most: providing exceptional care.
Ideal Candidate Qualities
We’re looking for someone who brings:
- A Master’s degree in Counseling, Psychology, Social Work, or a closely related discipline
- Full licensure to practice independently in North Carolina (no supervision required)
- At least 3 years of experience providing psychotherapy (preferably with children)
- Strong rapport-building and communication skills
- Familiarity with evidence-based approaches for a wide range of conditions, including anxiety, ADHD, trauma, Autism, depression, and more
- A compassionate, ethical approach to care and confidentiality
- Team-oriented mindset and comfort working within a multidisciplinary clinic
- Organizational and time-management skills to manage caseloads effectively
- Spanish/English bilingual fluency is a plus!

Position Details
