A school district in Galveston, TX is seeking a dedicated School Psychologist for the 2025-2026 academic year. This full-time, contract role offers an opportunity to support K-12 students in a collaborative educational setting focused on student success and well-being. The position is set for the normal school year with potential for renewal depending on performance and district needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct psychological assessments and evaluations to support student learning and emotional health
  • Develop and implement individualized intervention strategies
  • Provide counseling and consultation to students, parents, and staff
  • Assist with IEP development and collaborate closely with special education teams
  • Participate in crisis intervention and behavior management initiatives
  • Advocate for mental health and promote a positive, inclusive school culture

Qualifications:

  • Masters or Doctorate degree in School Psychology (required)
  • Active Texas LSSP licensure or eligibility to obtain before start date
  • Knowledge of educational psychology, behavioral interventions, and special education processes
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills
  • Ability to provide counseling as part of the caseload

Position Details:

  • Duration: August 4, 2025 May 28, 2026
  • Schedule: 37.5 hours per week
  • Caseload: Approximately 50-55 students, grades PK12
  • Location: In-person position in Galveston, TX
