A school district in Galveston, TX is seeking a dedicated School Psychologist for the 2025-2026 academic year. This full-time, contract role offers an opportunity to support K-12 students in a collaborative educational setting focused on student success and well-being. The position is set for the normal school year with potential for renewal depending on performance and district needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct psychological assessments and evaluations to support student learning and emotional health
- Develop and implement individualized intervention strategies
- Provide counseling and consultation to students, parents, and staff
- Assist with IEP development and collaborate closely with special education teams
- Participate in crisis intervention and behavior management initiatives
- Advocate for mental health and promote a positive, inclusive school culture
Qualifications:
- Masters or Doctorate degree in School Psychology (required)
- Active Texas LSSP licensure or eligibility to obtain before start date
- Knowledge of educational psychology, behavioral interventions, and special education processes
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to provide counseling as part of the caseload

- Schedule: 37.5 hours per week
- Caseload: Approximately 50-55 students, grades PK12
- Location: In-person position in Galveston, TX
