Job Description
The BCBA will serve as a member of the Intensive Transition Team (ITT) for the State Hospital Stepdown Program as part of a new specialty transitional home designed to support persons dually diagnosed with behavioral health and intellectual developmental disabilities or autism. The State Hospital Step Down program collaborates closely with Health and Human Services and all State Psychiatric Hospitals and works to build successful discharge plans for individuals who have been admitted to the state hospital for over 1 year. The State Hospital Step Down program is designed to step-down/transition individuals with Intellectual and Developmental disabilities with co-occurring mental health diagnosis who are psychiatrically and/or medically fragile from inpatient state hospital settings to more appropriate community-based settings. The ITT will work as an interdisciplinary team to identify, assess, facilitate step-down/transition, house, and provide services and supports to maintain community integration.

As a member of the ITT, the BCBA position is responsible for implementing and providing Applied Behavioral Analysis (ABA) therapy to participants in the State Hospital Step Down Program SHSDP) for persons with co-occurring Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities and Mental Health condition. This position will also provide clinical supervision to Behavior Technicians pursuing and maintaining Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification and/or Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) certification in accordance with current Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB) requirements. This position is part of a team that:

Provides direct services in-person
Conducts assessments that are used to develop effective treatment plans and goals.
Train all SHSDP staff on the behavioral interventions and monitor their effectiveness
Implements interventions in natural environments such as home, community, and work as needed
Uses data collection to evaluate treatment programming and progress
Provides training to group homes, families or other discharge settings

This position will maintain Licensed Behavior Analyst (LBA) status in order to comply with state laws regulating ABA services.

The BCBA is a member of the IDD Crisis Team and cross trains to provide Behavior Supports.

Location: Bastrop

Salary: $38.48 - $45.23/hr

Up to $2.00/hour - previous community center experience in a similar role

Up to $4.00/hour - tenure with BTCS
.75/hour - Bilingual

Plus shift differentials
Evening Shift: $2.00/hour
Night Shift: $4.00/hour
Weekend Shift: $4.00/hour
Weekend Night Shift: $6.00/hour

City Bastrop County Bastrop County Credentials Minimum Qualifications: Board Certified and Texas Licensed Behavior Analyst. Two years' experience working with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and/or providing Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) therapy to adults or children. Meets BACB requirements to provide supervision to Behavior Technicians. Must have a valid Texas Driver's License and maintain approved driver's status throughout employment.
