The Health Care Coordinator is responsible for:

• Hiring, training, supporting and supervising all caregivers and med techs.
• Making sure employees reporting to them work in a safe manner.
• Staff scheduling monthly and as needed to ensure scheduled and unscheduled care is provided to residents
• Preparing and presenting required staff meetings and trainings
• Meet with residents and families to conduct care conferences.
• Work with the Health Services Director to make sure care services are scheduled and completed per resident preferences and needs.
• This position is physically active and will spend most of the time on the floor training staff and providing hands-on supervision for skills checks and teachable moments.
• Documenting and summarizing staff trainings
• Complete list of duties will be provided prior to an employment agreement

REQUIRED SKILLS

• Previous facility caregiving AND medication technician experience is required. This role needs someone experienced to be able to train staff on how to do the job in a safe, proficient and professional manner.
• Ability to develop respectful working relationships with staff, residents, families and outside providers
• Leadership skills and ability to set a good example for staff.
• Knowledge of regulations, rules and policies pertaining to State and community requirements
• Respectful and professional communication

PREFERRED

• Associate's degree or higher education in a healthcare or business-related field
• CNA, CMA or similar education highly desirable

Pay: $56,000.00 - $62,000.00 per year
