Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Family Therapist to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in psychotherapy and behavioral health, with a focus on providing support and guidance to families facing various challenges. This role requires a commitment to patient care, effective case management, and the ability to conduct diagnostic evaluations in accordance with HIPAA regulations. As a Family Therapist, you will play a vital role in helping families navigate their issues while fostering a supportive and healing environment.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct individual and family therapy sessions to address emotional and psychological issues.
  • Develop and implement treatment plans tailored to the specific needs of each family.
  • Perform diagnostic evaluations to assess mental health conditions and recommend appropriate interventions.
  • Provide case management services, ensuring that clients receive comprehensive support throughout their treatment journey.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential patient records in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including psychiatrists and social workers, to coordinate care for patients.
  • Engage in clinical research as needed to enhance therapeutic practices and outcomes.
  • Utilize knowledge of ICD-9 coding for proper documentation of diagnoses.

Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, or a related field.
  • Valid state licensure as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), or equivalent.
  • Proven experience in psychotherapy, particularly within family therapy settings.
  • Familiarity with Christian counseling principles is preferred but not required.
  • Strong understanding of behavioral health practices and case management techniques.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to build rapport with clients.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team environment.
  • Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and adhering to ethical standards in patient care.
