EXTENDED CARE MANAGER ST. MARY SCHOOL St. Mary School Chardon is looking for 1 enthusiastic individual to join our Extended Care Team as the Coordinator.

The Extended Care Support Staff is responsible for operating the extended care program and working closely with the principal. The Extended Care Support Staff assists with the coordination of activities to include opportunities for homework/ study time, physical activities, and quiet play/ independent activities. The Extended Care Staff should have or be willing to obtain a current First Aid certificate and be Virtus trained and must comply with Ohio Revised Code 3319.39- Criminal Records Check. This is a part-time position/non-exempt. Specific Responsibilities: To supervise the students at all times, ensuring their well-being and safety Maintain records of attendance Send out notices of billing to parents with the use of Digital Academy Ensure that the needed supplies are ordered and received To recognize the needs of children at different stages of development To actively plan, implement and evaluate the after-school care program Ability to make adjustments to increase the positive outcomes of the program To work with staff members as a team when collaborating on the needs of the students. Implement behavior plans as directed by school staff Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications, Education, and Experience: High school diploma preferred Experience working with children with multiple abilities Excellent skills in both verbal and written communication Ability to work both independently or within a team Proficient at communicating with parents and colleagues Flexible thinker Enthusiastic, driven, and independent Strong organizational skills Hours of work: The Before-school program operates from 7AM to 8:40AM. The staff arrives around 6:45AM to prep for the students and ends after cleaning up when the students go to their classrooms. The After-school care program operates from 3:15pm until 6:00pm. The Aftercare Support Staff is required to commence from 3:00pm to set up and is required to stay until the last child is picked up. The Aftercare Support Staff should clean-up prior to leaving.
