About Job

SteppingStone Day School, Inc., established in 1983, is a large, private, not for profit preschool agency serving young children with and without disabilities. Our mission is to provide collaborative evaluation, education, therapy and family support services so that young children can develop to their full potential and with their families and friends as members of the community.

We are currently seeking a full time licensed Social Worker to join our team starting in September.

Responsibilities:

· Liaison between classroom and home by providing continual emotional support for families, to help develop a good home/school connection.

· Leader of bi-weekly multi-disciplinary teams.

· Collaboration with psychologist to support emotional needs of students.

· Provide family training/as mandated on IEP.

· Conduct parent/team conferences with team members and family, prior to CPSE meetings.

· Support and keep parents informed during "the: turning five" process

· Complete paperwork including: family training notes, daily logs, Drop Box (lEPs), as needed.

· Connect families with community resources to parents as per specific needs of the family/student and remain informed with changing resources.

· Run family support groups as well as developing evening parent psycho- educational meeting for families.
Qualifications:

  • Masters in Social Work
  • LMSW
  • Bilingual Spanish preferred

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $70,000.00 - $78,000.00 per year
