Avid is seeking a Billing-Account Receivable Specialist to join our corporate team. This position will be hybrid - work from home with some in office requirements. This position is available immediately!

The role of the Billing/AR Specialist will be responsible for all subsidiary accounts receivable invoicing/billing at regular intervals (weekly, biweekly, monthly, etc.). The Billing/AR Specialist is responsible for the accurate billing of claims/service invoices according to payor guidelines, resolving claim/invoice edits, claims processing, claims follow up activity, and resolving denied claims.
Essential Job Responsibilities
- Handle comprehensive billing operations, from invoice generation and account reconciliation to payment processing.
- Contract, Private, LTC, Waiver Program billing:
- Oversee the tasks of sending invoices to clients and monitoring outstanding balances to ensure each account is paid on time and in full.
- Communicate effectively with customers to address and resolve any issues or discrepancies.
- For Medicaid billing:
- Verifies correct Medicaid coding to ensure prompt payment.
- Inputs correct billing information and transmits electronically to the Medicaid carrier.
- Consults with claim clerks in the Medicaid office about any disputed claims and follows up on all bills not processed within usual claim period.
- Provide internal teams & Senior Management detailed updates on weekly AR Aging reports.
- Maintain strict compliance with all state and federal billing regulations.
- Collaborate with our client care team to provide information and updates regarding clients’ accounts.
- All other duties as assigned.
