Job Description

The Parts Advisor supports the daily operations of the Parts Department, assisting customers, processing orders, and ensuring efficient inventory management.


Essential Job Functions

  • Assist customers with parts orders and inquiries.
  • Look up parts using the catalog system.
  • Process invoices, receipts, and order paperwork.
  • Manage shipping, receiving, and parts storage.
  • Maintain organized and clean parts area.
  • Handle warranty parts and special tool inventory.
  • Cut keys and assist with parts deliveries.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.


Requirements:

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • 1–3 months of related experience preferred.
  • Strong customer service and communication skills.
  • Ability to calculate discounts and percentages.
  • Basic understanding of inventory processes.
  • Comfortable working with computers and catalog software.

Work Environment

  • Regular exposure to moving mechanical parts.
  • Occasionally exposed to wet/humid conditions.
  • Moderate noise level.
  • Reasonable accommodations will be made for individuals with disabilities.

Physical Demands

  • Regularly lift/move up to 25 pounds, occasionally up to 50 pounds.
  • Frequent standing, walking, reaching, and handling parts.
  • Occasionally required to climb, stoop, kneel, or crawl.

Compensation & Benefits

  • The employee will be paid an hourly wage of $16.00–$20.00 per hour. Starting pay is determined based on factors such as experience, qualifications, skills, education, and geographic location.

Performance-Based Bonus

The employee may be eligible for a discretionary performance-based bonus, determined by individual and company performance. The employee must be actively employed and in good standing at the time of payment.
