RiseWell Community Services is seeking a Full-Time Office Assistant to join the Suffolk County, Department of Health, Division of Mental Hygiene, ADULT SPOA Unit in Hauppauge, NY.
This position reports to Kristen Crispino, LCSW, Director of Adult Services Suffolk County Division of Mental Hygiene
In this position, you will assist the Adult SPOA/ AOT Program with day to day operations, associated with the success of the department. You help ensure seamless work flow and communication of highly sensitive information in a timely and confidential manner.
HOURS: Monday-Friday, 9am to 5pm
QUALIFICATIONS:
High School Diploma required
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Draft correspondence
- Maintain department files
- General Office Duties including:
- Log, print and distribute correspondence
- Type and mail out letters, photocopy forms
- Filing, Organization of Clinical Records
- Answering incoming calls to the unit
- Ability and willing to help out other personnel when needed
- Coordinates work with appropriate internal and external personnel to ensure all are properly informed
- Maintains compliance with policies and procedures
COMPETENCIES:
- Strong organization and follow-up skills
- Ability to attend to detail and function independently when needed
- Possess excellent communication skills, professional demeanor, team-orientation and ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs: Word, Excel, Outlook
